Stephen Fry, the legendary geek, journalist, writer, comedian, blogger, traveller, tv presenter; a general mass of talent and intellect – has joined Twitter. In the last 7 days he has amassed 5,749 followers as the wave of “Stephen Fry is on Twitter!” spreads across the web, with many of the Irish twits grateful of reciprocated follows and attempting to get his attention as he travels through Africa filming a documentary “Last Chance to see”.

But then John, Twitter whore (Twat?), managed to attract Stephen’s attention enough that he even laughed at his joke – giving John an even bigger ego than before.

But seriously, go Stephen!
