favourite photographs – chris in paris

November 20th, 2008

One of the first photographs I took that I really loved. This is my brother, Chris, while on a family holiday in 2004. This was taken with a compact camera that had pretty much no manual settings, though I did manage to judge exactly how long the lag was between pressing the shutter and the picture actually being taken.

This was actually the last time I was on holiday with my family. I don’t miss it at all. Whereas they have gone to Italy, Spain and Florida, I have seen their photos and look forward to seeing these places in my own time.

Cool shot.

The last time I was away with my family was the Christmas of 1999. I didn’t even want to go then. Some things we outgrow earlier than others.

For one second… just one second, I thought that was a young Phil in the photo! Family likeness comes through.
