2008 was a good year. thank you.
December 31st, 2008
I can’t quite believe it but this time last year I was frantically running around preparing for my first photo exhibition as part of a small Belfast festival. I am very grateful of those who gave me the opportunity and helped me pull it off and make it the success I feel it was. It taught me a lot, about people, small festivals and putting on an exhibition. In fairly quick succession there were a further two exhibitions, each with their ups and downs. In all, the experience gained will stay with me.
With many trips to Dublin and Twice to Cork, meeting many great people, plenty of great conferences and unconferences, events and dinners, befriending my first Canadian, becoming a Mac Geek and photographing a lot of interesting characters.
I blogged a lot, I attempted and failed a Photo356 project, thought a lot more about my photography as well as diversifying to a greater extent than before.
Thanks to those that I have met this year, both online and off, those who took me in, fed and watered me on occasion and to anyone who helped me out in any way, or were just nice.
It will be hard to top, but lets give it a shot. Here’s to 2009!
Below are a series of my favourite photographs taken this year.
Thanks to Claire for the awesome templates.
