Belfast Twestival – Get Your Tickets

January 30th, 2009

Venue = Black Box Lavery’s Bunker, Bradbury Place.
Rock Band. Drinks. Prizes. Fun times. And more.

If you are on Twitter, and in Northern Ireland on 12th February, then come along to BelfastTwestival. It’s always fun to meet those you follow or chat to online, and there are have been many new N.I. Tweeters over the last few months that I haven’t met yet.

Twestival is organised 100% by volunteers in cities around the world and 100% of the money raised from these events will go directly to support charity: water projects.
Charity: water is a non profit organization bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing nations by funding sustainable clean water solutions in areas of greatest need.

Right now 1.1 billion people on the planet don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water. That’s one in six of us.

This is where charity: water and their partner organizations come in. Drilling a well can cost from $4,000 – $12,000 USD and many living on less than $1 a day cannot afford one in their community, even if the money is combined.

Currently still on the hunt for some more sponsors to make it an even better night. Sponsorship can be in the form of cup cakes! If you or your business are interested send an email to belfastwestival AT icedcoffee DOT ie.

Tickets are starting at €5 and are available now – click here. Let me know if you have any problems.
(I didn’t choose the currency, and can’t seem to change it, but it’s not much different anyway.)

Don’t forget to subscribe to the official blog at belfast.twestival.com for all updates.
