Guest Photo Post – Niamh

February 9th, 2009

Today’s photo is from Niamh who blogs at Whoopsadaisy. Naimh sent me more than one, so I decided to post two.

The first is of the Custom House in Dublin both taken from the steps of the Ulster Bank building on the other side of the Liffey on 22nd January, myself & Darragh were in town passing through Trinity College when we got dragged into taking part in a light experiment being held that evening for the opening of the Lightwave Festival! So I took these two photos as I was standing on the steps of Ulster Bank with a large lamp and lots of other people with lamps waiting to be given the go ahead to turn them on and light up the building.

This photograph was taken at the Science Museum in Trinity after the lamp lighting, where the party was going on to open the festival. This photograph shows the sound waves of the room being converted into light waves inside a mirrored box, that was very cool :-)

Thanks Niamh, wish I was there.

Next time you are in Dublin we’ll have to go to the Science Museum again :)

Thanks for putting up the two, I feel special :)

I think I will have to go out in the dark some night and remember to bring my camera.

Nice work Niamh.
