Blog Awards Week 2009
February 17th, 2009
I made it into the finals YEOO!
Thanks to everyone who voted so well, it’s much appreciated. Whether or not I make it any further I know I will enjoy this week.
I will be needing a new badge now I think. Surely Alexia has one for you too.
That time of the year has come around once again. This year there will be entertainment and events each day for the remainder of the week in the run up to the big day.

Arriving in Dublin on Wednesday afternoon, missing the first event; Bloggers Meet Business, being held today, though I shall be at Collision Course II which begins at 6:11pm.
I wanted to attend the Bloggers Book Talk (Blookers?), 7pm on Wednesday evening, although it overlaps with the PR event. I only wanted to go for the wine anyway.
Thursday is Soundcheck (AKA Blogger Special, AKA Battle of the Bloggers) at Spy featuring: Nialler9, Rick O’Shea, Jim Carroll (Irish Times/On The Record), Ian Wright (Thrill Pier), UnaRocks, NaRocRoc, Sweet Oblivion, Rapture Ponies, Aoife McIndieHour, Bluebirds Are So Natural and Dublin Streets.
On Friday I fly to Cork.
TeenCoffee is also on Friday, though I can’t make it. Teens should go though.
Friday evening there will be dinner and drinks for those (of which there are plenty) who will be there.
Saturday afternoon will be the annual Pre-Blog Awards Photowalk. Ideas are still being collated, though presumably we will wander around the city centre and harass the locals. They can take it.
When the ladies head back to the hotel for the Ladies Tea Party, the men will smoke cigars and drink all the Beamish in Cork, before eating ourselves (not like cannibals).
7pm – The 4th Irish Blog Awards
