Links and Things – Thursday 5th March 2008

Firstly, I’m pretty disgusted at Stuart Bailie’s recent comments on bloggers for an ATL piece by Keith:
“It was a grave disappointment to meet a lot of them in the flesh, a lot of them, because, like a lot of online activity it gives introverts the chance to become these bizarre persona(?). And when you see them in the flesh you go “you’re just a sad little bug, who’s no friends, and hasn’t got a girlfriend.”
Stuart blogs himself remember. Listen to the full interview on Keith’s blog.
- That “permanent record” your mum told you about when you were younger (in regards to grades, and missing too much school etc), well, it’s true in case you haven’t already figured out.
- Stage Premier of Shawshank Redemption in the Gaeity Theatre, Dublin, in May.
- 10 features that would be awesome on Twitter.
- Spotify was hacked. If you use it change your passwords!
- Ryanair charges to the extreme.
- Writing in the age of distration.
- Heavy metal band names, it’s all just death, religion and darkness really
- Lines from books Twenty hasn’t written, yet.
- What’s your talent?
- Picomarks, by Ben McRedmond is a very simple bookmarking tool without any fuss of tags.
- Use as little software as possible. Keep it simple. A philosophy I can relate to.
- I’m loving DESKED. Mine will be soon.
Everything is amazing. What a positive outlook this guy has. I want to be like this more often, though I did stare out the window of the plane the whole way from Cork to Dublin.
New ad from Meteor. I can’t stand the IT Crowd.
