This day 2 weeks ago was the annual IBA photo walk, in the beautiful Cork City. A bunch of us met in the hotel Lobby before getting the bus from the airport to the a bar (forget the name though it was very nice, and large) in the city centre, where we met the others.

We got great weather for it; a super sunny day. Starting at the English Market, we headed North, finishing up at Shandon Bells and back down again. A single pint in a bar before heading back to the Hotel. Here is a selection of my photographs from the day.

Such a Cork cliché, but it works

In terms of meetups and photo walks, there don’t seem to have been many lately. I’m not sure if the proposed flickr meetups happened in Jan or Feb. There is the one in the Ulster Hall for its re-opening next Saturday, 14th March 2009, though unfortunately I won’t be able to make it (hoping to get those shots today though. As the weather begins to improve over the next few weeks and months there will definitely be plenty more local meetups, including some more in the South.
