John Shelly and the Creatures
March 24th, 2009
Upon discovering a new band I will listen to them constantly for a few weeks.

Those 56 listens are in the last 22hrs or so with only the 2 tracks on the latest John Shelly and the Creatures EP I got my hands on last night after their show in the Black Box. I consider myself to have quite a varied taste in music and can never really pin-point what it is about a band or artist that draws me to them, each so different.
It took me until 5 mins ago to realise there are 3 free tracks on the band’s Lastfm!
The music of John Shelly and the Creatures is my most recent musical obsession. Having first discovered them at Unconvention in February I was excited to see them play again, and get a hold of their CD.
The track ‘Long May You Reign’ brings a smile to my face; brilliantly upbeat and cheery and goes well with the recent television advertisements it was used in for the Northern Ireland Tourist Board – and the ads aren’t too bad themselves either.
