Goodbye Ships of Great Height

August 17th, 2009

The Tall Ships left Belfast’s shores this afternoon, having helped the economy a little and entertained 800,000 people over the course of the 4-day festival, including an estimated 250,000 who lined the coast to see them off.

The sheer number of people to be in one place was a bit nuts in this , including a large number of tourists, surely something Belfast can do a lot more often. I’m such a sucker for good days out.

Anyway, here’s a few more pics from the weekend:

A lovely journalistic spread as usual Phil. Particularly enjoy the porthole and crane third from last.
