Today’s Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, was watched by an estimated estimated 400 million people worldwide, and has become the biggest largest event in Internet history. Of course there were also many street parties. I caught up with one on Donegal Road in South Belfast:

Elsie at Ely Marketing successfully helped add to an already brilliant atmosphere on the sunny Lisburn Road on Saturday 23rd April. The weather was fantastic and it was great to see so many families enjoying themselves, and I wonder how much of a success the Lisburn Road Business Association will consider it to have been. [...]

What are the Issues?

April 14th, 2011

What are the issues people of Northern Ireland are concerned with? This is the biggest topic coming out of the current election, particularly with young, and previously apathetic voters. Most people aren’t interested about the past, the Troubles, the tribal bullshit, but instead have a greater interest in the issues which affect them, you know, [...]

NI Assembly Tweetup

April 11th, 2011

Last month the NI Assembly invited local “tweeters” for a guided tour of the Parliament Buildings, proving to be “the first legislature in the UK and Ireland to host a social networking event” — and apparently it was my idea! I have no problems admitting that I have very very limited knowledge of any sort [...]
