Last night the very lavish and well-turned-out Belfast Pride Snow Ball took place in the Europa Hotel. With its Christmas/Snow theme the ball kicked off the 2011 season of Belfast Pride events in style. Almost 160 people sat down to a tasty Christmas dinner, drinks, prizes, awards, music, dancing, drinks, and more dancing which carried on throughout the night creating a vibrant atmosphere in the Exhibition Centre.

The awards presented on the night were as follows:

Float of the Year 2010 : Top Queer
Entertainer of the Year 2010 : Tina Legs Tantrum
People’s Choice : Opportunity Frocks
Belfast Pride Supporter of the year from the LGBT Community : Rainbow Project
Belfast Pride Supporter of the Year – not from the LGBT Community : Hastings Hotels
Special Services to Pride : PA Mag Lochlainn
Special Services to the LGBT Community : Jeff Dudgeon
