Paris is an undeniably historic artistic city, and so while there, I captured some of this, through some old type to modern type. I’ve become a little bit of a type-geek.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Paris is dirty and polluted, vulgar, unscrupulous, exploitative and offensive, but I still love it. Dinard is a small seaside town in Brittany with beaches and a long walk under the huge villas. Along by the beach is a large statue of Alfred Hitchcock. It is said that while he did spend much time here, he also based the house used in Psycho on one of the villas.
Pointe du Raz is an area of rocky terrain at the most western point of France — an amateur rock-climber’s dream. It offers a brilliantly dramatic view, and exciting hike across the jagged hostile landscape while watching the water crash on the rocks below. Saint-Malo is a walled port city in Brittany; a dream for any tourist. Within the walls are restaurants, shops and tourists. We took a walk around the top of the walls, narrowly avoiding the rain, and the seagulls.
