Gay Paree Part #2

November 5th, 2010

A few more photographs from Paris. Just trying not to forget it.

Found Typography in Paris

October 27th, 2010

Paris is an undeniably historic artistic city, and so while there, I captured some of this, through some old type to modern type. I’ve become a little bit of a type-geek.

Gay Paree Part 1

October 22nd, 2010

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; Paris is dirty and polluted, vulgar, unscrupulous, exploitative and offensive, but I still love it. It’s appealing in so many ways; the stunning architecture, the beautiful people, delicious food, boulangeries, the metro (it has rubber wheels!), fashion, art, bars, nightlife, history… I’ve been a few times [...]

Dinard

October 21st, 2010

Dinard is a small seaside town in Brittany with beaches and a long walk under the huge villas. Along by the beach is a large statue of Alfred Hitchcock. It is said that while he did spend much time here, he also based the house used in Psycho on one of the villas.

The Walled City of Saint-Malo

September 29th, 2010

Saint-Malo is a walled port city in Brittany; a dream for any tourist. Within the walls are restaurants, shops and tourists. We took a walk around the top of the walls, narrowly avoiding the rain, and the seagulls.

La Route Du Rock Recap

September 8th, 2010

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I left for France, on a slightly hectic, but immensely fun ten day break, now time to get writing about it and get some of the photos up. First stop was La Route Du Rock — the very reason myself and Valérie-Anne decided to go to [...]
