Each year I look forward to Belfast’s own street performance festival: the Festival of Fools, for I have a respect for those who can gather a crowd in the street and entertain them for 30mins without too many nodding off/going about their shopping. This, the 6th Festival of Fools, “Ireland’s biggest street theatre festival,” took [...]

A Photo Walk will be taking place in Dublin City Centre on Saturday 11th April. Come along whether you have a small or large camera. Photo Walks are about meeting other photographers, exchanging ideas and taking photographs – sometimes getting to try out the more expensive equipment I can’t afford! We will be meeting at [...]

Guinness is an acquired taste, you either like it or you don’t. It took me a while but now I love the taste of Guinness. I look forward to the occasional pint – it isn’t something that’s planned, but usually a last minute decision and always worth it. Almost as tradition I would mostly drink [...]

Another brilliant [long] weekend in Dublin, possibly one of the best recently in terms of what I learnt and saw. Not that I learnt anything totally amazing, or saw anything truly unbelievable; its all about the little things. Starting with the St Patrick’s Day Parade; this was my first time in Dublin (or the South [...]
